Sofitel Spa

I arranged a lunch and spa day as a Mother's Day treat for my wife and mother-in-law. They enjoyed the massage and the lunch, but unfortunately, I have to give the experience only three stars. The issue arose at the front desk, where they were asked for a voucher to confirm payment (which should be in their system). Despite showing evidence of payment, they were charged 120 euros because the staff claimed that only one massage had been paid for. When they contacted me, I reassured them that it was a mistake and asked them to show the receipt I had sent and check their system. However, despite providing all the evidence, they still insisted on charging them, threatening not to let them leave. After realising their error and requesting a refund, they were told that they couldn't be refunded immediately as the spa manager was unavailable at the time. It took several emails and a week to get the 120 euros refunded finally. The whole ordeal caused unnecessary stress for my wife and mother-in-law, and as a result, I would not recommend or book a service at this spa again.

Excellent and professional staff, relaxed atmosphere, located in the most beautiful hotel in Amsterdam. Today I had the best massage ever. Defenitely worth a visit!

SoSpa is the excellent spa of the Sofitel Hotel. Amazing team, professional and friendly. The swimming pool and the gym are quite small but nice.

Pas digne d’un grand hôtel.
Déçue par l’endroit mais équipe sympathique.
Je suis arrivée à l’accueil et personne. Au bout de 5-10minutes d’attente quelqu’un arrive et m’indique rapidement les vestiaires et me dit que je ne pourrais pas utiliser le spa car complet. Je descends les escaliers et il y a une pancarte I si quand que le hammam est en panne.
Bof bof comme impression. Je remonte et la personne qui s’occupe de moi est là. Le massage est fermé mais très bien. Enfin un bon point!
A la fin du massage, je décide d’aller aux toilettes qui sont juste à côté de la salle. Les toilettes sont propres mais à côté sont entassés des sièges et autres choses pour le salon. C’est vraiment moyen.
Je retourne dans la salle où il y a l’accueil où petits gâteaux m’attendent avec un personnel avec le sourire.
Heureusement que la gentillesse du personnel rattrape l’expérience car cet endroit est très décevant pour un grand hôtel : accueil exigu, installations en panne, personnel qui semble désorganisé, toilettes qui servent de débarras.
Et pourtant le spa se vante d’être le meilleur spa d’Amsterdam. Je n’imagine pas à quoi doivent ressembler les autres.
