The staff here are fabulous, so efficient and helpful. We stayed with a group of friends who were cycling and the staff were very happy to open up access to the garden at the back of the hotel where bikes could be stored securely. The room was a great size with a lovely little balcony - shame the weather wasn't better! The beds were comfy and the bathroom clean and modern. The only down side was a slight smell of drains in the room, we did point this out to reception when we left. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the room, but this wasn't a problem for us. The breakfast was plentiful and good. The location is great - across the canal from the station with plenty of restaurants nearby. There are tables outside where you can sit and have a drink, you get given the most gorgeous curry flavoured nuts, I could have eaten those all day long!

Fabulous location between Station and Centrum (both walking distance). Nicely renovated, very friendly welcoming staff, I was on a cycling holiday and was offered a secure covered place to store bike in hotel garden. Extra covid procedures handled in excellent way. Weather was hot and room had curtains closed and gratis fan. Very good breakfast.

Actually, my wife and I stayed here in August 2023.|This is good hotel, opposite the train station. We had a spacious room with two comfortable chairs. Modern bathroom; however, the (sliding) door is partially transparent, so if one of us visits the bathroom at night, the other wakes up as well.|Breakfast was OK.|The hotel was expensive (we paid over €200 for one night, including breakfast).

We chose this hotel & a room with balcony due to its location facing the canal. We have booked 2 nights but at the end we stayed for 4 as a base to visit other towns in Zeeland. Though there’s a road between the hotel & the quai, it was quiet after 11pm. The room size is just right, the mattress is good though a bit high for me (I’m 156cm) but my husband loves it. The breakfast is standard: various hams/salamis, yogurts, cereals, bread, croissants, fruits, hard boiled & scrambled eggs. A bit monotone after 4 days though. On our last breakfast which fell on a Saturday, there was a bowl of fruit salad. It would be nice to have the fruit salad everyday & add fresh orange juice maybe? All the hotel staff are brilliant & very helpful (Suzanne, Selina, Arend, Maarten, Godelivia - hope I have the spellings right). There is also a parrot in the bar area! There are paid parking spaces around (15€ for 24h or 3€/h) & we were lucky to find a space close by every day. Walking to the center was less than 10mins & the view on the way is beautiful. We like the town & if we visit other parts of the Netherlands in that direction, we will surely stay at this hotel again.

Regular visitors to Middelburg but first time at this hotel. My son and his family live a few minutes walk away that's why we chose this hotel. Situated across a canal from train station made it easy to find. Very friendly welcome. The place was very clean with good facilities. Room fairly spacious with a view of the canal. Bathroom excellent with everything you need in it . A Tv and coffee machine topped it off. Breakfast buffet excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stop there again. Not forgetting the excellent choice of beers in the bar.

We only stayed for one night but the experience was very good. Warm welcome on arrival and quick and efficient check in. We had three rooms between us, two on the fourth floor and one on the second floor. The two on the fourth floor were easily accessible via the lift. They were spacious with large bathroom’s. Mine was on the second floor which was a bit of a “faff” to get to as it involved going up in the lift and then strangely have to then go down two flights of stairs to get to the room. If you have mobility issues you would want to avoid these rooms. Once there however the room was comfortable with an amazingly comfortable bed. The shower room was very small. I did however have a very good view to the front of the property overlooking the canal. |Breakfast was very good with plenty of hot and cold choices. There is a very large comfortable bar but the hotel doesn’t offer evening meals although a ten minute walk and you’re in the centre of town so plenty of places to eat.|Parking is available both on the street and a small car park beside the canal. Both are chargeable between 8am and 8pm but you can buy discounted tickets at reception. Failing this there is a free car park behind the station a 2 min walk across the canal.|I would definitely stay here again if I’m in Middelburg.

The hosts of this hotel are welcoming and accommodating, making every guest feel at home. I highly recommend anyone visiting the area to check out this beautiful and cozy hotel. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of their guests.

In addition, the hotel enjoys a great location and an amazing view of the canal.

If I ever find myself thinking about visiting Middleburg again, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel. The overall experience has been exceptional, and I look forward to returning in the future.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Like a budget motel with hotel prices. Sorely needs to be renovated. Staff was friendly, but walls and floors are so thin and creaky that you hear everyone above and around you. Stairway smelled and was full of boxes, sink didn't drain well -- and why can't you control the temp in your room?
