Visited for new years with the dogs. It was quiet and cozy and close to everything. Monika was friendly and helpful throughout the stay and we had a great time. Extra stars for the jacuzzi in the garden.
Had a very unpleasant experience with Island Life Texel!|We stayed in the Island Life Beach House (x2) on 21/04/2024 and after checking out the owner refused to pay the security deposit claiming that we checked out late!|The check-out time was 10 am (which is quite early) and it was 11.30 am when we packed the bags and checked out from the place. there were 10 of us and we put an extra effort to wash all the dishes, clean the place and even to take out the garbage to leave the place in the same condition that was given to us. Nevertheless we were treated with disrespect and rudeness!|There were no bookings for the next day and it didn't even impact the cleaning as we left before the cleaning began. The extra 1.5 hours that we took did not cause ANY financial damage / losses to them but yet the owner refused to pay the security deposit which I believe is very dishonest!!|(the security deposit should only be claimed if there are any financial losses or damages involved)|Utterly disappointed with the service!|It is unfortunate because we were planning to return to the place as we are frequent travelers and some of us are professional travel bloggers.|Would not recommend this place to anyone!
After a 5 hour walk, Monica welcomed us with open arms and an unexpected wonderful footbath! The room was very comfortable and breakfast so delightful and elaborate. Monica is a perfect host, she even gave us a ride to the Slufter instead of us having to use our tired feet.

Very nice host, the house is clean and tidy, the wellness is wonderful and totally private, especially the host Monika is so sweet and responsive to guest’s need. She took us a ride to the Teso boat so we don’t have to wait the 🚌 Totally recommend 👍

Booked the apartment before Corona. Was tricked to rebook from Booking.com to the owner of the Huisjedekoog which produced more costs.
While we were in Corona we couldn't travel, but lost all our payment, even the variable expenditures, like cleaning, taxes for staying in Texel (which we never used), reserving costs - all in all around 240€s
We booked Huisje de Koog in Texel for a short trip for end of March via booking.com.||First thing that happened was the owner asking us to please cancel on booking and re-book on his page.||Ok, so far so good. ||But not only was this at least 20% more expensive, I also had to pay the full rate in advance.||||With Corona, travelling to Texel in this time was not possible and advisable, so we cancelled. But other than assumed we did not get such costs back as reservation costs, caution fees, costs for towels and linen and such things. ||Even with different approaches to contact the owner /landlord, we didn't get any feedback.||||Very poor communication and and very poor action of paying back costs that weren't happening.
Als gastvrijheid een naam had, heette het The Island Life. Vanaf het moment van aankomst werd echt alles gedaan om het ons naar de zin te maken. De kamer was prima, en er werd een heerlijk ontbijt voor ons gemaakt.
We komen hier zeker nog een keer terug !
