Stadspaleis Hotel & Restaurant OldRuitenborgh

I stayed here in June 2024 for a work trip. Very quaint old manor, very well maintained on beautiful grounds. Staff were very nice. The in-hotel restaurant was a little pricey, but was definitely worth it.
walking/biking distance to some decent restaurants as well.

The staff was very welcoming and gave us tips on where to travel in the area. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The breakfast in the morning was also very good. The food was great and very fresh and the lady serving us was very helpful. The hotel grounds were very well kept and the building was beautifully decorated.

Nice hotel with great restaurant! Peterjan and his team are always very kind! A tour in the historical building is a must.

Hotel in an old castle is always very interesting, but it's also very well kept up, and decorated with excellent taste. Bath in the room was a huge plus. It's approximately 15 mins drive from giethoorn and 30 mins from Zwolle, a great place for us to visit both. Highly recommended 👌

Wonderfully welcoming staff.||Relaxed ambience throughout the property. Elegant dining rooms.||Large comfortable bedroom with good amenities in the room.||Very nice evening meal (for a separate price) and an enjoyable breakfast (included in the price).||Excellent value for money (in the week).||No lifts though so if you have big suitcases, this could be a problem (that said, the staff helped us up with our light bags).||The room we had had steps down into the room which made it difficult getting out as you had to step back down to pull the door inwards.||Would definitely like to come and stay at this property again.

Stayed here well visiting the Netherlands, and what an amazing hotel & team they have there. So friendly and welcoming. Food and service was 5/5 can’t fault it at all. Definitely will be coming back here. The scenery is also remarkable and breathtaking too.

We have just returned from an overnight stay at Hotel Landgoed Oldruitenborgh, and I can't wait to go back and stay in this hotel for longer and explore the area more. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather, but even so, this hotel is an oasis of peace and quiet with a olde world gentility about it. The service from the moment we arrived was friendly and efficient. ||Our room, which faced out over the back area of the hotel was quiet, spotlessly clean and quirky with steps leading down into the room. The shower was excellent as was the bathroom, and the beds were supremely comfortable.||This is NOT a hotel for anyone who has mobility problems as there is not lift, and like many Dutch buildings, the stairs are steep.||We had a glorious evening meal, my husband had the surprise menu, and I had one from the menu. The food was perfect. Tasty, well presented and decent portions. The breakfast was all you can eat, with plenty of choice.||There seems to be plenty to see and do in the area, but we were not there long enough to be able to comment on this aspect, although we did visit the tourist village of Giethoorn which was about a 30 minute drive away, which is well worth seeing. ||I would recommend this hotel to any person visiting the area, it is a treasure.
