Sauna Beauty Farm Midwolda

We were in need of an relaxing weekend and decided to try this Spa & Welness house in Midwolda.||We didn't read so much about it before we came so we had no expectation about the B&B.||We were a bit surprised when we realized that we were supposed to bath naked but it was no problem for us, since we have done that several times.||We had made reservation for the luxery room and it was indeed. Nice and cozy with a great bathtup.||The welness area was great. There also was an outdoor area with spa bathtups with a great view over fields.||It was a calm and relaxing atmosphere and the staf was very nice and friendly.||The only thing that was not so good was that they don't speak so good english but a bit German. It would have been nice if the description of the treatments and spa rules was in English and of course also the menu card of the restaurant.||The breakfast was nice and enough.||We also had a small problem when we were checking out, they didn't take Visa or Mastercard which was written at Booking.com, that was not so good, but they have promised to look into this problem.||Overall it was a relaxing stay but the wall could use some isolation :) ||Thank you for a nice weekend at your nice and calm Spa.

We decided to stay here as it was the only hotel in the area that was not booked up for the Moto GP - I now know why. This is no reflection upon the attitude of the staff as they were most accommodating and helpful but the bedroom was damp, dark, was sandwiched between a sauna and another noisy room and to top it all there was a tarpaulin acting as a roof where the water was running down the walls into the light fitting. The sauna was a naked affair so we were quite surprised upon our first encounter. I hasten to add that we cancelled the booking and the kindly owner sorted out some alternative accommodation in the shape of a hostel, this was a welcome relief as it was dry, bright and cool. As I said the staff were very friendly so it pains me to write a negative review but it is wise that other potential guests are informed as the description and the price are slightly misleading.

Wij gaan hier minimaal 2 x per jaar heen inclusief overnachting. De huiselijke sfeer is voor ons alle bepalend. Verwacht geen zwaluw hoeve maar Groningse gastvrijheid en no nonsense! Heerlijk om op de bank te liggen met een lekker biertje.

Eigenlijk alles, begrijp niet zo goed hoe dit nog kan bestaan.
Bestaat er in deze regio geen inspectie dienst, brandweer of iets dergelijks.
De kamer was klein, wat bekend is. Echter het ontbreken van een brandalarm/rookmelder , het montage plaatje zit er nog wel , en het ontbreken van een vluchtplan dat kan toch niet. In oude recensies staat dat de tv het niet doet, 2 jaar later nog niet, haal hem dan gewoon weg. Dubieuze stroomvoorziening, verlengsnoer in verlengsnoer etc.
De sauna zelf vielen we van de ene verbazing in de andere.
Zand in zwembad en de niet werkende jacuzzi.
Tapijt in een sauna ! Dompelbad met melk kleurig water !
Voetenscrub ruimte waar koud water in zat met stilstaand water, ik hoef niet uit te leggen hoe dat voelt.
Verlengsnoer/stekkerdoos, en dan niet goede waterbestendig buitensnoer , maar gewoon simpel huis tuin en keuken verlengsnoer in een sauna !
Een kat die echt overal ligt !
Je kan je als ondernemer natuurlijk verschuilen achter locatie (Groningen) voor de staat van je pand, maar dat gaat natuurlijk niet op voor simpele veiligheids oplossingen of hygiënische omstandigheden.
Kortom in begrijp de positieve recensies niet, dat je blij bent met een sauna voorziening in jou omgeving is fijn. Maar veiligheid is je ook wat waard lijkt mij.

Bezoeker vanaf het eerste uur, maar dit wordt afzien. Genoeg andere sauna's bezocht, maar jullie sauna complex blijft bijzonder, de sfeer en de geweldige opgietingen. Zie nu al uit naar jullie vernieuwde toko.
