Overall, we had quite an enjoyable time thanks to the nice staff and friendly service.
Pros:
- Many saunas to choose from, 3 hot baths outside. I especially liked that you could swim from indoors to the outside part of the pool.
- We were pleasantly surprised by the food, especially at the sauna restaurant
- The service was quite friendly and we were helped quickly
- Plenty of options for resting areas, we discovered a really nice one close to the park

Cons:
- The dressing room area was quite outdated. It’s situated in way that you have to walk through it to switch from one side of the spa to the other. At the same time, all the newcomers have to go through there to get dressed. This means that there are people walking around with their outside shoes while others are using their slippers. Doesn’t feel very hygenic.
- Similarly, there isn’t a clearly indicated area before entering the spa where everyone has to shower.
- Perhaps the biggest issue for me, the hallways and restaurants in the main building were not heated properly. We had to change into our clothes to have dinner because it was too cold. The temperature of the baths also could have been higher.
- The breakfast included was not up to the same quality as the other food offered. It could have used some more warm and fresh dishes.
- The room could have used an update, although the bathroom was quite nice and new.

With some improvements to the facilities, it can definitely be a 5 star experience!

I have been here twice, and it was an incredible experience. The experience was very relaxing and calming! The sauna area was clean and spacious. I felt very refreshed and rejuvenated.
The staff were friendly and professional, always making sure that the place was clean and serene. I also took a relaxation massage, which was great!

If you're looking for a day of pampering or simply a peaceful retreat, this is the place to be. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Fontana Bad Nieuweschans used to be a fantastic place for those seeking a digital detox and a day of relaxation.  My wife and I enjoyed visiting for the past 10 years, particularly the pools with swimming wear which always seemed pretty popular.  However, our recent visit was rather disappointing.  We had a reservation, but discovered that, starting today, the entire facility now requires you to be naked. This eliminates the option we enjoyed, as now they only offer swimsuit-wearing days on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  As a result, we were unable to enjoy a relaxing day as we had planned and left without using the facilities. This recent change in policy significantly impacts our enjoyment.  We are not sure yet whether we will return any time soon.

Very untrasparent about everything that was included in the reservation, they made us pay part of it only afterwards and information about it was not present at the time of the reservation but only in a later email. Moreover they told us it was necessary to be naked in the swimming pools as well, while that was not specified in the website, not in the email and not at the time of the reservation. When we made noticed this, they gave as a ridiculous 5 euros discount per person. Worst spa experience I have ever had, we will not come back.

What a great wellness experience. Really lovely facilities, helpful staff, nice room and everything we needed, plus pretty good value for what you get. The saunas are really best in class. Can't wait to go back.

Unfortunately not so nice… very expensive for what you get. The furniture and houses are a little old and the stuff wasn’t really nice to us. Can not recommend. Just 5 showers for everyone and you can not control the waters temperature. Going home disappointed. The hammocks were nice. You can hear the highway in the outside area.

This place used to be great, but no more. ||First the good points, since there are a few. The current wonders have spent a lot of money expanding the sauna facilities and the expanded saunaplein in particular is pleasant. ||Now the many negative points. The food in the previous "Waters of the World" restaurant was very good. The current restaurant, called Norell, is decidedly disappointing. It only has a fixed menu. Moreover we were warned on a previous trip that if we had any dietary restrictions we should inform them in advance. We did, but it didn't help. ||One of my favourite sauna's was always the kruidenbad (herb sauna). Only now it doesn't have any herbs. So it is just another relatively cool sauna, of which they have several. This change is entirely negative, so why do it? Also I have a suspicion that the temperature in the very large salt water bath has been turned down. I can't prove it, but it didn't feel as amazing as on earlier visits. ||They have a great park to walk around. This remains beautiful. So why reduce the number of hammocks and seats. Service in the outside rest areas is very poor. Even when it is very busy they only seem of have one person serving. We were there three days and not once did anyone offer us anything. ||They are currently refurbishing the bedrooms, so you can expect noise and unfinished spaces. Which would be less irritating, if they hadn't put prices up considerably.

We have been to this wellness resort many times in the past. Sadly the price/quality ratio gets only worse. This time, we had booked a room on the ground floor with a terrace. When we got to the room, we discovered that there was only one outside chair with no other furniture on the terrace. When I called the reception, I was told, with no apology offered for the inconvenience, that the new furniture had not arrived. No help was offered to bring replacements. ||The following day was 1st May and "badkledingdag". The result was that the resort, saunas and areas were so busy that we could not even find a sunbed/chair to sit or lie on. While I accept that such days will be busier, there was no effort made to accomodate the extra guests. The atmosphere was really not relaxing, the guests were loud and inconsiderate and we retreated finally to our room for peace and quiet (without terrace chairs). Fortunately the park is still beautiful even if they have removed most of the comfortable seating and all of the hammocks. The restaurant offers only a "surprise" menu and the drinks are overpriced.||When we complained about the shortcomings during our stay at checkout, we received no apology. "There are worse things in the world" was the receptionist's reaction when we pointed out that they should not advertise services which could not be provided. We will not be hurrying back.
