Thermen Bussloo Wellness & Hotel

We have been here two times, and likely will explore other thermal resorts in the future instead of returning. The first time we came we had a great time, and really wanted to return, however we returned this weekend and did not have nearly the same experience. Like others, we were quite surprised by the 25eu fee for the towel and robe rental, it was not made clear at the time of booking. The last time we came, we had stayed at the hotel so this was included, but if you do not stay at the hotel you need to pay for the rental. If this was made clear that would be OK, but like others have mentioned it is hard to find. The spa was also so busy that many times you were stuck waiting in the entrance way for someone to leave before you could go in and get a spot, too crowded to lay down so everyone was sitting closely. In the cenote salt pool, it was extremely busy and everyone chatting loudly so it was not relaxing, this was our favourite area the first time as it was quiet and relaxing. The service at the lunch buffet was very slow, we finished our first round of meals before anyone came to serve us drinks (none included in the buffet), at which time my wristband was found to have been not activated properly by the front desk so the server got upset she had to take it to the reception to get it activated for me to be able to order drinks. The massages were OK, the actual massage technique was very good - some of the best I've had in the Netherlands, but the towels were very rough which was distracting. Finally, we found that the very hot saunas did not seem nearly as hot as the first time we came (claimed 90deg but felt just a bit warmer than the nearby 60deg saunas), last time we could barely make it to 10 mins, this time I was comfortable sitting in there for long enough until I felt bad about the line outside waiting for their turn.

It is too bad as we thought this would be a twice a year tradition to have a place we will return to relax, but instead we will use this experience to find new places and hopefully better places!

Beautiful resort, lots of saunas and pools, well maintained and clean. Room was great. Can be busy on the "badkleding dag". Not everyone knows how to be quiet though or can read the signs that clearly say so.

The wellness is pretty good. It's a little bit of a maze. The cave is awesome. Good quality sauna's.

The restaurant was a differrent story. We (and many others) whereasl to go to different tables (after sitting down) because didn't want to make use of the three course menu. Even though it was not busy, it took 20 minutes to order a drink. And between the finished soup and the main course it took 40!! minutes. We had to ask for the menu, ask for cutlery (because one of us had only chips) and nobody came for a second drinking order. Many people walking by, nobody making eye contact. Terrible service...

That's time you can not use in the Thermen. It was really ridiculous and very annoying.

Have been here several times, but only as a day guest. The most impressive feature is the salt-water Cenote - a bit Disneyesque, but really fun. If the weather is nice, lunch on the terrace near the lake is very pleasant. The sunning lawns are very peaceful as well.

There are four spas in this chain. I rank this one second compared to Thermae Berendonck. And oh… a bit difficult to get to from Amsterdam. You really need a car.

We have been here in the past and it has been amazing. The hotel, sauna,restaurant, |Everything was amazing.| We live in the UK. Do not get any time together as a couple and I am a full-time carer looking after our nine-year-old who is neuro divergent. |For many months I had waited for the Christmas holiday package to come after a member of staff at thermen bussloo had told me on the phone that the Christmas package deal would come out at the end of September or the beginning of October. |I have now just found out over the phone that they will not do a Christmas package at all and that we will have to pay more than €100 per person extra to get the same items that we would have gotten in a package deal.||We are rarely in the Netherlands and this was such a special and important thing for us to do and they will not even honour the price. |A member of staff has told us months ago that a Christmas package was coming up at the end of this year, I guess making money is much more important than anything else, but we will not be able to go here now , because it will cost us approximately €564 instead of €300.||We feel so disappointed we do not get a break in the UK and part of the excitement of coming to Holland for us was the opportunity to go to the sauna for two days whilst my friends look after our daughters so we waited for this Christmas package deal for many months, but they will not honour the price of the ‘herfst arrangement’. |we still would’ve spend enough money here anyway, but I guess they want more money and we will not be able to come because of this greed. ||We are very disappointed with Thermen Bussloo.

Absolutely love the wellness spa here. Great variety of saunas and all in a great style. Will go here many times again.

We have been dreaming of going here with our family for two years and now my son is already 12 and yesterday we spent our first super unforgettable evening at Bussloo! Everything was amazing, from the very beginning to the end of our stay! The staff is very friendly! The rituals that are held here are fantastic! We will be back again!
we forgot the name but the blonde girl was like sinderela to us🥰 , she took care of our vacation incredibly, thank you from Oleksii very big ❤️❤️❤️❤️

bought wellness coupon as a gift for 2 person friend + husband, but she was pregnant so she couldnt use it at this time.

I bought in December 2022 and they said its expired 1 Year later and there is nothing they “can” do ! So people, dont ever buy coupons there you can also take your money and throw it out of window and also company is not obliging they didnt even ask for proof that she was pregnant they not care.

i was often visiting the spa with lots of friends. But now i will never go in any of this spa again, and also telling all my friends not to go in any of these spa again 👋
