Thermen Berendonck - Wellness & Hotel

Very clean, lots of staff and saunas. The mediation sauna had beautiful views of the lake, and the music playing underwater in the salt bath made this a truly well-thought out wellness experience. We went on a Tuesday morning in January, after reading about how busy it can get, I am glad we did. It was pretty busy, but more than enough room to go to a few afguss shows and have whirlpool baths to ourselves.

I have visited this sauna many times, and it’s an outstanding place. The beautiful design, flower garden, and fish fountain create a serene atmosphere. The staff’s professionalism and dedication, along with exceptional sauna facilities, make every visit special. The delicious cuisine and attention to detail enhance the experience, leaving me refreshed and full of positive energy. I’m grateful for such places—thank you for your amazing work!

The thermal baths are a really beautiful place with lots of different saunas. Very clean and tastefully designed. However, after 3pm it is so crowded and loud that it is impossible to really relax. People stand in front of the saunas and talk so loudly, even though the signs ask you to be quiet. To take part in an infusion you have to queue up 30 minutes beforehand and you are really squashed together with strangers. Additionally, the relaxation area with the waterbeds is much too small for so many people. All the beds are constantly occupied. I think there should be a time limit there so that others also have the opportunity to rest and relax. In general I think the staff should pay more attention to ensuring that there is more peace and quiet there, at least in front of the saunas where you can relax.

Best experience, best day. Outstanding interior, incredible smell perfumes in each sauna is different and every one of them is amazing, you want to breath with all your lungs and stay there. There is a lake with a small beach so apart from swimming in a big pool it’s possible to swim in a crystal clear lake as well. Highly recommend Dinner Buffet too. The kitchen there is just beyond good, baklava, grilled salmon and rice were my highlights.

Great SPA resort. One of the best we had. A lot of saunas and enough pools.

All facilties are really good and the service also nice and friendly.. However, the restaurant prices went noticeably high in comparison to previous visits. In any case, still worth the visit.

I was pleasantly surprised to experience the Latvian Pirts at Thermen Berendonck as a Latvian myself living far away from home. It brought back such a wonderful feeling of connection and nostalgia!

What made it even better was the cooling area located about 20 meters away. Many people might not know this, but after spending time in a 100°C Pirts, it’s highly recommended to cool off in a lake or even snow to truly elevate the experience.

I highly recommend this for anyone who’s unfamiliar with the Pirts and ready to take cold exposure to the next level. Some other guests even saw me doing it and tried it themselves—it’s not for the faint of heart, so make sure you’re prepared (and maybe hold onto a wall just in case)!

This experience is truly unique, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Thermen Berendonck!
