Sauna Van Egmond

Although the spa area isn’t that big they have many amenities which is nice. The temperature inside is also okay which is good. My main point is that it can be incredibly crowded (I went on a Thursday) giving communal bath house vibes - if you’re looking to socialise a little it’s great, however, I was looking to destress and have some calm so I was really overstimulated with the constant chatter and amount of people walking by/in/out.

I was also surprised by the lack of rules / guidance given at the start to ensure safety. e.g. I went to the toilet I saw a sign about not having phones in the spa but this wasn’t mentioned by anyone and nor communicated in some way in the locker rooms.

The perfect place to chill.
I had an amazing massage experience with Gerard and in general the personeel was so kind and friendly. I will definitely go back soon. Thank you 😊

I have read about Sauna Van Egmond before visiting and the positive reviews are true indeed.

In terms of location, by public transport it is easily accessible by taking a Bus for two stops at Haarlem station. The Sauna is located in a cosy nice neighbourhood in Egmondstraat. During my time in the Netherlands, I visited this Sauna twice as the facilities are really nice and the receptionist is friendly.

They have a large swimming pool, several smaller cold pools, different themes of sauna through the facility. Within the compound, there is also a restaurant, and level 2 & 3 with resting area for people who would like to take a break or rest. One of the staff also came around with a tray of nuggets to offer to the sauna users. I hope to visit your sauna again next time when I am in the Netherlands . Please keep up the positive customer service and good maintenance of facilities.

Bloody awesome 😍 my favorite sauna in Netherlands so far and there are plenty in this little country to choose from. Beautiful inside. And the massage treatment was a lovely treat. Oh and the food!!! Try it for yourself, especially if you are from UK.

Anytime I need peace and calmness I go to Van Egmond.
It’s not very bug and luxury Sauna complex, but it’s very nice and “gezellig”
Very nice stuff. Sometimes live piano music.

This place is simply wonderful!
We spent the whole day there (about 8 hours) and had not a single boring moment.
It offers so many different options and even an amazing restaurant with super tasty food.
The house itself is simply stunning and worth a visit on it’s own.
It’s definitely with the 45€ per person!

completely fell in love with this spa. What an amazing space ! Could be advertised sm better tbh the pictures look a bit old. It’s absolutely beautiful and well thought out. A couple things that could be improved : during the massage we hear a lot of noise from downstairs (music, people talking) which isnt the best when you wanna relax. We didnt get well directed, we had to figure everything out by ourselves (use of the sunbath, what was included in our package, where is everything..) and we ended up paying 35€ plus at the end of our day because of miscommunication between the staff, which we kinda felt was intended. Will for sure come back tho! The masseuse is amazing
