Lovely personal, great food and a really nice spa with tons of saunas and options like infra red chamber. Jacuzzi and pool. Outdoor jacuzzi and saunas. Really nice break from all the rush on my business trip. Rooms are nice and afordable.
Residents should be careful, because you can be deceived. The price for the room is too high. I booked a room on Booking, where it was written that all taxes and fees were included in the price, BUT when checking out, the administrator asked me for 90 euros! I asked for what? The answer was: tax and breakfast, although I did not have breakfast in this restaurant and having said this, the amount to pay was reduced to 20 euros, I was given only a copy of the payment receipt without explanations and receipts for what exactly I paid! There is also too much mold in the shower!
Perhaps the only plus is the close location to the train station.
Location is great. Facilities are outdated. The roof of the pool is almost collapsing, rooms aren’t very clean and modern. ||Employees are polite but don’t offer any information without you asking.
This hotel, which was once a cozy family hotel, no longer has that appearance at all.||It is clear that upper management (Flow) is doing everything they can to keep personnel costs down as much as possible in this branch of the chain:||- no restaurant anymore.||- a bar that has to run entirely on the only receptionist on duty in the evenings. The music that is then turned on is sufficiently loud so that the place quickly becomes unpleasant. Could be on purpose, because it closed at 10:30 PM.||- a drinks menu in the bar was not available. You just had to order blindly without knowing what the offer or prices were.||- a more limited breakfast buffet than before, with a minimum of staff used: at a certain point, at least 5 "cozy" tables with a nice view had not yet been cleared by the waitress, so we had to take a seat at the back. The waitress couldn't do anything about it, because she barely had time to replenish bread and toppings and refill the coffee machine, so clean plates also became scarce. So she didn't have time to ask everyone who came in for their room number.||||The style and way of working has changed so much that this has become a completely impersonal check-in/check-out Motel where no one pays attention to the customer anymore, only to the administration.||||We booked the room online with breakfast and a 3-course dinner included. We were very surprised when we learned upon arrival that dinner was not taking place in this hotel, but in De Zon.||That's not correct. Such matters should be mentioned in advance.||If we had known this, we would not have booked our room here, but perhaps in De Zon, so that we did not have to leave the hotel to eat.||In our case this was a "walk" of about ten minutes in the pouring rain both ways.||||I guess management thinks they are doing the right thing. I rather expect that they are completely ruining a hotel that once had a very pleasant atmosphere.
The spa was really nice. It is small but has everything you need. The rooms are somewhat old and the curtain is almost see through so we were awake really early. However, the service is good and I do recommend staying here for the spa
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Prior to the weekend we only had the booking confirmation e-mail, no extra information whatsover. Upon arrival the check in woman didn't know for sure if the room was already clean (we arrived at 16:00, check in is from 15:00...). The bed was made but there were flies in the room, dead musquitos on the walls everywhere, the toilet was dirty, there were stains on the floor, etc etc. Our balcony was next to the train passing, so there is that. It was 10 degrees outside but it was boiling hot in the room(?)||We came for the Spa and were disappointed. You can only do treatments on saturdays appereantly, would have been nice to know that in advance. The steam room was broken, you have to leave the hot tub every 5 minutes to push a button the turn it on, there was mold, the swimmingpool smelled like old water and it was dirty everywhere. They don't explain anything to you at the hotel so you just have to figure out that you need a seperate card to access the spa, not just your roomkeycard. Almost all of the showers are cold or have no pressure. ||The restaurant is expensive and they had forgotton our reservation. I'm severly allergic to nuts and mentioned it in my booking information and again at the start of dinner. First course; cashew nuts in the salad. This has never happened to me in any restaurant ever.||We've paid for the dinner with the booking, so only had to pay for our drinks. The price was 84 EUROS. Two teas, some water, and a bottle of wine. What the hell....
Everything is too old and the smell.... I was ok with the price because of the spa/wellness but it made me feel sick (not litteraly, but felt dirty after my stay). I took many showers. The staff is very nice and well presenting. I think because of the overall look, the poor hygiëne/ old muffy smell and old equipement (elevator straight from Sovjet russia as an example) suprised me big time. Als no hair dryer as promised and the sauna closed at 22, not 23 as told.
The hotel has a great location next to the train station which is great for travelling from out of town. It was easy to find and the hotel was both historic and renovated to show the best parts of the hotel. I found the room both cozy and roomy with a sitting area, a balcony and a full bathroom. It was clean, comfortable and welcoming and staff were great. Don’t mistake this for a mediocre hotel, it’s a great price and a great place to stay for a couples holiday or for a single stay (like me) for a trip abroad. The owner truly cares for his property and wants the best for his guests and the hotel. It was a pleasure to stay there and I look forward to coming back in the future! First trip to Ommen and I was wowed by the commitment to running a great hotel.
